Here’s something a bit different from Second Beach. These formations in the sand drew me to this composition. The tide does some amazing things to the coastal beaches up and down the Washington coast and for once I was actually around with a camera to capture it.

Nothing too crazy but here’s a more traditional shot of Emerald Falls in Gorton Creek down on the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. I’ve wanted to get a spring shot like this for a long time and manged to snag one while I was down shooting with Max Foster this past spring.

I was treated to some amazing foggy conditions in the early morning hours over this weekend out in North Bend. The fall colors were absolutely spectacular out here; the trees literally looked like they were on fire with reds and yellows.

The Hague is one of the most extraordinary cities in Holland.

Not just because it is our government city, but also because of its many monuments, historic districts and its location near the beautiful North Sea coastline. The Hague is also known as the ‘Royal City by the Sea’ and is called ‘the residence city’ because of the many members of the Dutch Royal Family who reside in its chic neighbourhoods.
