Halwyll Mountain in Adventdalen on Svalbard. One of countless mountains on this remote arctic island. The arctic light up here is truly tremendous and something i`ve fallen in love with.

Wrath of Njörðr by Arild_Heitmann
Arctic wilderness at its rawest and finest. The wind was pushing, pulling, howling and filling the air with snow. My favourite conditions!

Radiant glow of the arctic’s last light reflects off Jokulsarlon, illuminating the iridescent blue bergs
Wapusk by rspostma
Wapusk is the Cree nation word for polar bear. Here in Canada’s arctic the polar bear is king. It is the world’s largest land carnivore and is not to be trifled with. A truly humbling spectacle.
– Frozen North – by orvaratli
In deep winter up in north Iceland ice ans snow is the theme. Here frozen Goðafoss is the subject and the swirling ice in the foreground the point of interest.

Under the Surface by Arild_Heitmann
Im gonna start showing some stuff that ive been holding back. This one is from a couple years back, deep into a remote mountainarea in Northern Norway, most famous for its incredible rock formations.
When this massive storm was moving in, i knew that often the light will be incredible just when the fronts meet.
I am enjoying my photography these days as im slowly evolving my style in a direction that im more and more comfortable with. It probably means doing poorly on this site, but thats not something to be taken too seriously. Lately ive seen far too many high-quality images being totally neglected here.

Building the Crust by erezmarom
In winter time, Goðafoss doesn’t freeze, but it does get a beautiful icy crust. Add pristine fresh snow all around and you get a very special spectacle. This image was shot during my ‘Winter Paradise‘ northern Iceland photo workshop earlier this year. If you’d like to experience and shoot some of the world’s most spectacular destinations, check out next year’s photo workshops.

This one is shot at a remote plateu that was quite hard to reach. Next year me and Max Rive will lead a small group through these mountains again. The last trip was an adventure for life and something really special.
